The Netherlands is an amazing country that you shouldn't miss. We have compiled a list of 10 beautiful places for you to explore in the Netherlands!

DELFT

Delft is the perfect addition to your travel itinerary because when walking through the streets of Delft, you'll feel like you're in a surreal Van Gogh painting.

The charming small shops, canals, buildings, and churches will leave you in awe of their beauty.

Take the time to explore the Royal Delft factory, visit the classic Drogisterij Salamander pharmacy, and admire the stunning churches. You can also combine your visit with another destination, such as Rotterdam.

ROTTERDAM

Rotterdam is a city with a completely different architectural style compared to the rest of the Netherlands, but it is certainly one of the most fascinating cities in the country.

It is known for its iconic cube-shaped houses, the Markthal, and the famous "swan" bridge.

But what's even more interesting is that Rotterdam has built unconventional buildings since before World War II. The first skyscraper in Europe, called the Witte Huis, was constructed here in 1898.

HAGUE

Try spending some time in The Hague if you don't want to miss out on some of the world's important administrative buildings.

Inside the Binnenhof complex, there is certainly a lot for you to explore. The Peace Palace is also worth a visit as it is the main judicial organ of the United Nations.

You can tour the palace from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm. You should also visit other amazing attractions such as the Scheveningen Museum or Madurodam.

DUTCH COUNTRYSIDE

North of Amsterdam lies the Dutch countryside, and although this destination may not be as popular, it is definitely worth visiting.

You will get to explore quaint villages and experience some classic Dutch sights, such as cheese shops, an abundance of windmills, beautiful Dutch houses, and picturesque canals.

UTRECHT

Founded by the Romans in the 1st century, this beautiful city has one of the most stunning streets in the Netherlands, where you will find plenty of shops and cafes to sit down and enjoy the scenery.

As you stroll along Utrecht, you will come across the tallest tower in the Netherlands, the Dom Tower, where you can admire the city's most important architectural landmark.

Just a short distance from the city of Utrecht is De Haar Castle, considered one of the best castles to visit in the Netherlands and one of the most beautiful castles in the world. You can easily visit it with a ticket that includes access to the park and castle for only €17.

KEUKENHOF

Keukenhof is one of the most beautiful destinations in the Netherlands, where you can admire millions of flowers and its timeless beauty.

Rent a bicycle and ride through the tulip fields. In addition, you won't have to face thousands of other tourists who visit Keukenhof every day.

Cycling and enjoying the view of the flower fields will make you feel like a true Dutch person.

MAASTRICHT

Maastricht is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands, and you can immediately sense its historical significance as you step into the city center.

With beautiful churches, medieval walls, and bustling markets, it's a place you shouldn't miss exploring. The most recommended destination here is the main market square called Markt.

Shopping for unique items they sell is always an exciting activity, but don't forget to pay attention to the surrounding environment as you'll come across magnificent castles and city walls.

You mustn't miss the Vrijthof square to enjoy some of the finest coffee shops in the city, an ideal place for relaxation and indulgence.

LEIDEN

Leiden is a wonderful stop, and most tourists love coming here because it is famous for the oldest university in the Netherlands and one of the most prestigious in Europe.

If you are an art enthusiast, you can visit the house where the greatest artist in history, Rembrandt, was born.

However, be sure to take the time to stroll around this beautiful city as you will be amazed by its beauty.

You should also consider taking a short walking tour or doing some research on the history of Leiden as it is quite fascinating, or spend some time reading and marveling at over 110 poems painted on the city's walls. You will have a unique joy trying to decipher them.

TEXEL

If you're one of the adventurous explorers eager to visit lesser-known places, Texel is the destination for you.

Texel is an ideal place for a beach adventure day, where you can enjoy a stroll along the beach and witness a beautiful part of the Netherlands.

To get there, it only costs €12.2 to take a train to Den Helder and then an additional €2 for a ferry ride to Texel.

AMSTERDAM

It's time to visit the capital city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and indulge in coffee in the heart of the city. On your first visit to this city, you may be surprised by its uniqueness.

As you descend from Centraal Station, you will see numerous canals and bicycles everywhere. In addition to the Red Light District and coffee shops, Amsterdam has many places for you to explore, such as museums that resemble Rivendell from The Lord of the Rings.

If you simply want to experience the essence of European culture, you can still do that in Amsterdam.

The Netherlands has many more hidden gems waiting to be discovered, but those are the 10 amazing places you should consider in your travel itinerary.
