Maria Gern
One of the most humble and beautiful churches in Germany is the pilgrimage church of Maria Gern. It is located on top of a small hill near the stunning Kneifelspitze mountain in Bavaria.

From there, you will continue on a more challenging and rugged path until you reach Fischunkelalm, a mountain hut where you can stop for rest and refreshments. Afterward, you will continue hiking until you reach the lake.
